Santé

by Neil Leonard

Part of the "Faces of Normandy" series, Santé captures the moment in 1946 when Major John Howard and Captain David Wood met with Monsieur Georges Gondree for the first time since they liberated the Gondree Cafe on D-Day.

With a glass of red wine in their hands, the toast is "Santé".

All three of these wonderful gentlemen have sadly passed away so we hope this print helps to keep their memories alive.
